Te Awarua O Porirua Whaitua is a committee of local people who will provide recommendations to the Wellington Regional Council about managing or improving our harbours and waterways.

The Whaitua has called a public meeting to update residents in the Porirua-Tawa catchment on its work.

The meeting will be held at Pataka, on Tuesday 16 October 2018 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. It has been called at the request of Residents Associations and is open to all interested members of the public.

The Whaitua has defined the values that guide its thinking and gathered community opinion and scientific information. It is now at the point of formulating recommendations to the Regional Council.
